In this concert entitled “Piano Alchemy: Sky, Earth, Water. . . Joy!,” pianist Anastasia Antonacos will perform Gliese 581c by Emily Doolittle, based on a planet orbiting within the Gliese system (the sky element). Representing Earth are works by Nkeiru Okoye (Dusk and Dancing Barefoot in the Rain). Representing water is Liszt’s water fantasy Les jeux d’eau a la villa d’Este, Schubert’s Auf dem Wasser zu singen, and The Currents, by Sarah Kirkland Snider. As a full expression of joy, some dances by Tania Leon and Eleanor Alberga.
