This concert explores a fascinating terrain of musical genres. Dr. José Lezcano, an artist lecturer in guitar, has performed on four continents and earned two Grammy nominations for his first guitar concerto on the North-South Consonance label. In his second year on the music faculty in the Osher School of Music, Lezcano will be joined by Krysia Tripp, artist lecturer in flute. Tripp concertized in the U.S. and Europe and has had the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of artists including Luciano Pavarotti, Peter Paul and Mary, the Brubeck Brothers, and Andrea Bocelli.
