FACULTY CONCERT SERIES: Will Kinne, conducting the Stravinsky Octet for Winds
Widely considered to be his first Neoclassical work, Igor Stravinsky’s Octet for Winds is a masterpiece of craftsmanship. Classical forms and 20th-Century style combine in a piece of simple elegance that is accessible to all audiences. Composers Daniel Sonenberg and Hans Spencer will present their own takes on this unique instrumentation with two world premiere compositions to round out the program.
