About the program:
Inspired by life’s changing seasons and the shifting landscape in our world right now; love, detachment, compartmentalization, war, migration, imagination… A mix of light & heavy subject matter, these songs are not only interesting to sing, play and take in as a listener, but are programmed thoughtfully to travel in an emotional arc; genre, time period, language, key relation, etc. all mixed up. We’re rolling out both pianos and are collaborating with Professor SeifAllah Salotto-Cristobal of the USM Department of Theatre to light up Corthell in ways we haven’t seen before. Sung in English, French & German with translations, texts, background and historical context, etc. all communicated from the stage by Meg with assistance from pianists Laura Kargul and Ed Reichert.

Free admission, donations are welcomed. Proceeds benefit the Osher School of Music Talent Scholarship Fund.
About Meg:
Be it on stage, screen, under a big tent, standard fare repertoire, forgotten gem or work in progress, Meg is genre-adventurous & driven by a deep-rooted need to communicate, mixed with pure moxie. She’s a true believer that a good song is a good song, regardless of its genre or origin. Seen on stages from The Metropolitan Opera, Opera national de Paris, and Carnegie Hall to Santa Fe Opera, Houston Grand Opera and Atlanta Opera, she’s established herself as a stylish musician, agile fioriturist and a fearless stage animal. Meg has been praised by Opera News as “authoritative and carefree,” “a gifted actress with a strong, appealing voice, graced by a rich lower register,” and singing with “swagger” and “vocal audacity.”
This season, Meg returns to OperaDelaware & Opera Baltimore to debut as Maddalena in Rigoletto, The Atlanta Opera to debut “bucket list” role Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, makes her mainstage debut with Houston Grand Opera as Elsa Schraeder in The Sound of Music, premieres Jake Heggie & Gene Scheer’s Before It All Goes Dark in her debut with Music of Remembrance, and returns to Santa Fe Opera as Annina in Der Rosenkavalier. She’s heard in concert with Fort Worth Opera, Holy City Arts & Lyric Opera, Pensacola Opera, OperaDelaware’s Studio Series & in varied settings around the USM Community. Additionally, Meg serves as Executive Director of Creede Musical Arts Collective (501c3) and Alumna Artist-in-Residence this semester with the University of Southern Maine’s Osher School of Music.
