The fall concert of the Osher Youth Ensembles at marks the 27th season since the USM School of Music, now Dr. Alfred & D. Suzi Osher School of Music assumed management of the Portland Youth Ensembles.
This concert will feature performances by the Portland Youth Wind Ensemble conducted by Will Kinne, the Portland Young Peoples String Consort conducted by Hanna Flewelling, the Portland Youth Junior Orchestra conducted by Ferdinand Liva. The concert will close with the Portland Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Robert Lehmann, performing Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 1 and the world premiere of The Golden Hour by Heather Hastings.
